DID YOU KNOW?

Our BPWin software has all of the functionality of our popular DOS product, with the added benefit of JobMaster "*.bp" files.

JobMaster files are self-contained, good for Emailing, and excellent for recording first articles.

Each JobMaster file stands on its own, much like a word processing document or a spreadsheet. The device selection and configuration options, as well as the data image file are all stored in the same file. This file may be loaded on another system in the office, or Emailed to another location anywhere in the world! When your first article device is approved, you may store the JobMaster file in a secure or Read Only directory.

If you are accustomed to using the JobMaster database in BPDos, it is easy to convert the same jobs for use in BPWin. In BPDos, we have created the "EXPORT" and "VERIFY" features. EXPORT will convert each job in your database to a separate JobMaster "*.bp" file. If your database is categorized, all files in one category will be stored in the same file folder. The "*.bp" files may be stored on your network or hard-drive in any folder you choose, and, moving files between directories can be done in Windows Explorer.

After converting your job database, you can continue to temporarily use "*.bp" files in DOS while learning the BPWin software. To enable this feature, change the JobMaster/Configure Job Load Method to "BPFILE".

Instructions for using "*.bp" files in DOS:

Initial Set-up:
  1. Run Programmer Diagnostics (Alt+D)
  2. In the Configure window, change SAVE CONFIGURATION to "YES" and Accept.
This will set your configuration file for properly loading *.bp files in BPDos.

Each time you want to use a *.bp file:
  1. Run DOS software
  2. Load *.bp file
  3. Verify configuration options (Supervisor Mode only)
  4. Program devices
  5. Close program

Failure to follow the above procedures could result in changes to your configuration options. Please contact Customer Service if you have questions.

Note: *.bp files may not be re-saved in DOS. Once converted, all future updates should be done in BPWin.
