FROM THE FIELD
BP Microsystems is dedicated to building cutting-edge device programmers and delivering to you the best customer support available. BP Microsystems Field Service is focused on top-notch customer service and listening to your needs. This allows us to anticipate your needs and requirements. We bring your input back to Houston and present it to the BP engineering department. This in turn keeps our products evolving into the tools that you can rely on to meet your programming needs.
An example of this is the ability of the
BP-4600
to disable a site "on the fly." BP Microsystems has added the option to set a threshold on per-site yield. If any site falls below
that threshold, that site will automatically become inactive. Upon completing the programming job, a message will be displayed warning that the site had yields below the level set, and it may require servicing. There will be no need to interrupt the job or suffer through low average yields because of one bad site.
Some customers have a need to confirm that all of the programming sites are being emptied. Past solutions have proven to be time consuming, affecting throughput. This solution will only slightly affect throughput while delivering 100% assurance in quality. It will work like this: after the nth device is removed from a socket, a continuity check will be made on that socket. If continuity is not detected, then the operation continues. If continuity is detected, a device has been found in a socket that was expected to be empty. The job will stop and an error will be issued. As an added degree of safety, a continuity check will be done on all sockets at the end of the programming job. At this time all sockets should be empty. If one is found not to be empty, the end of job summary will include an error message, thus guaranteeing no blank devices in the output.
